Delightful Denby

Well it's been a fabulous weekend and I've met some lovely people, both customers and fellow stall holders.  Above are a few pics of my stall, we got the set up down to a fine art after 3 consecutive days!
I couldn't have done any of it without the help of my wonderful Mum!
Thank you so much Mum!

A fabulous start to the weekend...

Well despite the ropey weather, we had some lovely visitors at the Denby Food and Gift Fayre today.  There's still lots to see and do (and two more days to see and do it all!)
Off for a sit down now!

Project bunting...

This is the little project I've been working on - bunting for brother and sister-in-law Bland's 25th wedding anniversary surprise party.  It was a lovely party and we were fully entertained by our little niece, Holly!
So it's now full steam ahead for next weekend at Denby food and gift fayre.  I'm very excited!

Just wanted to say...

Well, I've been overwhelmed by several acts of kindness today.  From finding a fabulous hand written envelope addressed to me when I got home to someone spending their day helping me out of a hole!  I have such lovely friends and family!

I've been working on something interesting for a while and was about to post some pics when Mr B stopped me, so I'll have to leave it until tomorrow when all can be revealed!

Where did Wednesday go?

It's my busiest day of the week and also happens to be my day off! I got most of the things on my 'to do' list done and had a fabulous day in Ashbourne with Mum.
As you can see from the pic above the birdies are taking shape...I've had to stop now though as sharp tools and tired eyes don't mix!

Village Shop

I now have my very own corner of a new Village Shop! It's a great idea from the people behind fabulousplaces.co.uk. It features producers from the website and provides a marketplace for all of the fantastic products from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. I have a couple of necklaces on there at the mo but hope to upload some more bits soon.

Back to reality!

Well the birthday celebrations are over for another year! I did mange to string it out over the whole weekend though! It's now full steam ahead in preparation for the Food and Gift Fair at Denby Pottery.
As the weather wasn't great yesterday I had the chance to get lots of things on my 'to do' list started...
...like re-carpet the whole of downstairs with stamped card blanks.  I also got started on some felt beads for The Bead Shop...
Ocean and Earth mixes nearly done, Floral and Natural to follow!

Meet Millie...

Does she look familiar? This is the cat formerly known as Lemur!  We know where she lives now and her owners don't mind her coming in for a fuss!

Check out the new cushion in the background, an early birthday gift from Mum courtesy of the lovely Lavender Grey. J'adore!

Nearly birthday time...!

I have a very healthy stack of gorgeously wrapped gifts from lots of very kind people.  I'm very excited about what might be inside them!  Not sure about having a birthday on Friday 13th so I have the Saturday off work to celebrate instead!

Wet Wednesday

How fabulous is this?!  We saw it today on our trip into Belper.  Mum and I went to the gorgeous Lavender Grey, then on to The Devonshire for a lovely lunch.  This afternoon was spent cutting birdie brooches so I will have some finished to photograph soon.

A busy weekend

I've had a hectic but lovely weekend.  Yesterday was spent shopping, Mr B let me choose a top to buy for my birthday as I had a wardrobe full of nothing to wear! In the afternoon I made earrings to go with said top and re vamped an old clutch bag (see below) before going out for a gorgeous meal with Mr B and my brothers and sisters-in-law. We went to a fabulous place called The Larder on Goosegate, it specialises in seasonal, local produce and the setting is gorgeous, well recommended.

The bag before: A gorgeous shape and colour but really didn't get the fish buckle on the front.  Most of the jewellery I wear is silver coloured so the antique gold bugged me!

The bag after: This is a feat of engineering! I've had the large silver ring for ages and not known what to do with it, it's the perfect fish buckle replacement!  After a bit of eyelet punching, setting and attaching of chain-my revamped bag was complete...........just in time to use with my new top!
Today has been a little more chilled, bacon sandwich to start the day (thanks Julie!), followed by Mum's roast (thanks Mum!) and Steph's picnic (thanks and Happy Birthday Steph!)

Just off for tea now, chicken, chorizo and tomato pasta (thanks Jeff!)

I'm a very lucky girl!
